Eligibility Test a similar demand has been raised by teachers in ujarat. The Gujarat Rajya Shala Sanchalak Mahamandal, an association of school managements and trustees of grant-in-aid schools in the state, has made a representation to the state government to take a similar decision for the Teachers Aptitude Test (TAT) and Head Teachers Aptitude Test . The state education department has made TET examination mandatory to fill the vacancies of teachers in the state’s primary schools.As many as 50,000 qualified candidates across the state have passed the TET examination. But the aspiration of TET pass candidates to become teachers in primary schools is becoming a mirage as the state education department has not undertaken the recruitment process of education assistants. It may be mentioned that the state education department has started recruitment of teaching assistants in grant aided secondary and higher secondary schools as well as teaching assistants in grant aided colleges. That is when the demand for TET pass candidates to fill the vacancies of teachers in primary schools has risen.
In addition TET pass candidates have been fixed for 5 years. Therefore, as the fixed age for the job of Vidyashayak is also coming to an end, many candidates have approached the Minister of Education with a demand to announce the recruitment of Vidyashayaks as a matter of urgency.The Central Government has extended the validity of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Qualifying Certificate from 7 years to Lifetime. This means that once you pass the TET, your certificate will be valid for life. Regarding this, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said, "This decision will be a positive step towards increasing employment opportunities for candidates aspiring to pursue a career in the field."

Candidates who have run out of time will also get a chance The Ministry of Education said that the candidates who have completed seven years on their certificates will be given a new TET certificate by the concerned state government or Union Territory. Prior to this, the validity of the certificate was 7 years from the date of TET.
