It is important to point out here that income certificates are valid for three years from the date of issue by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of the State Government. Beneficiaries have to get a certificate of income every year to avail the benefits of various schemes of other departments of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, while resolving this problem, has now decided to increase the period of income certificates issued by Talati cum Minister at the village level from e-gram centers from one year to three years. Accordingly, from now on, the beneficiaries of the state will be exempted from getting a new income certificate every year and will not have to go through the same process. Necessary orders in this regard have been issued by the state panchayat department.
