To become an Income Tax Inspector, a candidate has to clear the SSC CGL exam. In the first phase of this exam, there will be 100 questions in Tier 1, all questions will be of 2 marks each. Tier 1 exam will be of total 200 marks. This exam is done online. Candidate has to give this exam in computer. This facility is available for every candidate in the Exam Center. After clearing this exam, the candidate has to give the exam of Tier 2. Candidate has 2 Papers in Tier 2. The first paper is of Quantitative Aptitude and the second paper is of English. There are 100 questions in Quantitative Aptitude paper and 200 questions in English paper. Both the papers are of 200 Marks and the time given for each paper is 2 hours. After qualifying the Tier 2 exam, the candidate becomes eligible for the Tier 3 exam. Tier 3 exam is pen and paper mode. Just like school exams used to be in childhood. This exam is of 100 marks.
