The National Eligibility Test is a national level examination conducted by the University
UGC NET is a compulsory exam to get a professor job in any government or private college. This test is conducted by the National Testing Agency on behalf of the University Grants Commission which gives proof of eligibility for the post of your Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship. The UGC NET Exam was started from 1989-90 and from the very beginning this exam was taken in 2 parts. But from June 2019, there will be no one between the two papers who used to meet earlier. The result of UGC NET Exam has a validity which is just 3 years for JRF while up to Lifetime for Assistant Professor.
Notification of UGC Exam
1. This UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year in June and December.
2. Notification of June exam comes in March and December exam in September.
Exam Pattern
There are three question papers in this exam, and all three papers are of nature's purpose.
Once you pass the NET, you can apply for the post of lecturer while announcing vacant posts by colleges and universities. Your final appointment depends on how good you are in the interview conducted by the respective university or college.
Junior Research Fellowship
Once you pass the NET, you can pursue any prestigious university or research, and reimburse tuition fees. In some universities, students also get direct admission to MPhil programs.
