Read more at: Every year, the State Bank of India holds the SBI Clerk Exam to select candidates for Junior Associates (Sales and Customer Support) positions in its various SBI offices nationwide. The SBI Clerk 2023 Prelims and Mains test will be held by the State Bank of India (SBI) to select candidates for the positions above.

This year, SBI declared SBI Clerk Vacancy that it was hiring banking candidates for 8773 Junior Associates positions. The SBI Clerk Notification 2023 was published on November 16, 2023, and the online application link http://sbi.co.in/ will be active from November 17 to December 7, 2023. All customer contacts and associated activities are within the purview of the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate). Prospective SBI clerks are assigned to positions like cashiers, depositors, and other front-facing roles inside a certain SBI Bank branch.Applicants may submit their applications online at the official SBI website, for the position of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. Check out the PDF notification for SBI clerks.Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre in State Bank of India. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only.

Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT (mentioned in the under given vacancy table against each state/UT). The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online Main examination but before joining the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. There is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates to be recruited. Preliminary Examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of January 2024 and Main Examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of February 2024. Vacancies reserved for OBC category are available to OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer’.

Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in ‘’CREAMY LAYER’’, are not entitled for any relaxation/ reservation available to OBC category. They should indicate their category as General OR General (LD/ VI/ HI/ d&e) as applicable. ii. OBC category candidate should submit the OBC certificate on format prescribed by Govt. of India, having “Non-Creamy Layer’’ clause issued during period 01.04.2023 to the date of taking up appointment, if selected. iii. Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in recruitment is governed by Office Memorandum no. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dt. 31.01.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel (DoPT), Public Grievance & Pensions, Government of India. Disclaimer: “EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of Government of India and outcome of any litigation. The appointment is provisional and is subject to the income & Asset certificate being verified through the proper channels.” iv. Benefit of reservation under EWS category can be availed upon production of an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ issued by a Competent Authority on the format prescribed by Govt. of India for the relevant financial year 2022-23 and valid for the year 2023-24 as per the extant DoPT guidelines. v. EWS candidates are required to produce for verification, the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ for the relevant financial year as per the extant DoPT guidelines, on the date of document verification, which shall be intimated to the provisionally selected candidates by the Bank. Hence, the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ for the relevant financial year can be obtained by the candidate on or before the date of document verification.

No request for extension of time for production of ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ beyond the said date shall be entertained and if a candidate fails

to produce the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ on the date of document verification, he / she will not be considered for appointment in the Bank for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & sales). vi. Candidates who are working in SBI in the Clerical cadre are not eligible to apply under this project. Candidates who were earlier employed in State Bank of India and resigned from the Bank while in clerical cadre will also be not eligible to apply for the post. vii. Candidates against whom there is/ are adverse report regarding character & antecedents, moral turpitude etc. are not eligible to apply for the post. viii. Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks or NBFCs including credit card dues and have not regularized / repaid their outstanding thereunder till the date of issuance of letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, shall not be eligible for appointment to the post. However, candidates who have regularized / repaid such outstanding on or before the date of issuance of offer of appointment but whose CIBIL status has not been updated till then, shall, on or before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from the lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn/ cancelled.
